"offering undergraduate, graduate, and theological seminary programs"
- Seminary faculty teaching in multiple programs (for me specifically this is masters-level seminary courses and undergraduate theology courses)
"pursuing excellence in scholarship"
- Maintaining a publication agenda: recently by publishing a book with Eerdmans, an article in Religions, and a forthcoming article in New Testament Studies
"Therefore, the University of Dubuque is committed to: • A hospitable Christian environment which respects other faith traditions"
- A significant aspect of my Introduction to the New Testament involves helping students recognize anti-Jewish stereotypes that are commonly preached and taught in Protestant church and appreciating Judaism in antiquity and modernity. The Jewish Annotated New Testament is a required text for this class.
This part of the seminary's mission: "Excelling in theological education and scholarship" aligns closely with the following from the University mission: "As a community, the University practices its Christian commitments by educating students, pursuing excellence in scholarship."
