The United Methodist Studies Program, the Director of the Program, Dr. El Colyer and UM professor, Dr. Matt Schlimm all are attentive to the needs of the UM students at UDTS. Drs. Colyer and Schlimm are the academic advisors for all of the UM students at UDTS. They are in contact and conversation with each of the UM students. They also respond to the needs and concerns of the UM students. This often includes support and advice around academics, serving as student pastors, their relationships to their UM annual conferences and Boards of Ordained Ministry. and their personal and spiritual lives. This are six Wesley Table luncheons each semester. (See the Wesley Table brochures.). The UM students and faculty share concerns and celebrations and pray for one another.  The Director UM Studies Program maintains ongoing conversation the the Bishops and Cabinets and the Boards of Ordained Ministry about various topics related to the needs of the UM students. Dr. Colyer engages the UM students around their needs and communicates that to the Dean of the Seminar and other faculty and stuff. This happens formally at Faculty meeting and in informal conversations with various faculty and stuff at UDTS.
