- Often the line between professor and pastoral presence is blurred in the seminary. For many of our students, who are experiencing significant life changes or losses, this presence is so important. It doesn't mean we set no limits or boundaries, but it is a way we are different from other seminaries.

- Often, when walking on campus in the presence of President Bullock, I watched his care and concern for students he met on the way. He went out of his way to engage them. I learned a lot about what engaging students looks like just walking through campus or in Peters Commons. It remains a powerful image of what it means to "make disciples on the way."
