12 I know that there is nothing better for them than to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live; 13 moreover, it is God’s gift that all should eat and drink and take pleasure in all their toil. 

I first encountered this portion of scripture as a young adult exploring Christianity for the first time. For reasons that have to do with where I was at at the time, v. 13 spoke to me in a real, powerful way, and opened my eyes to the idea of eternal truth.

Lance - this passage speaks to the simple yet profound joy of life and the gift of loving our work, reminding us to find fulfillment in the present. I love how it opened your eyes to God's truth at a young adult.
