Hi, I was sure that I had already posted this, but I can't find it, so I'll post again. Greetings from Texas! I'm Tracy Williams. I'm the pastor of a small church in Brazoria, Texas which is a small town southeast of Houston. I'm in a part-time ministry. I originally come from Springdale, Arkansas. I attended Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary for my MDiv. While serving my first call, I met and married a fellow clergy person, Bruce. He and I moved to Columbia Lakes, Texas which is where I live now. Bruce joined the Church Triumphant in October 2021.
I took the call at Brazoria after doing Pulpit Supply for them for a year. They are an ageing congregation and were very much stuck in their ways. We have been able to make some changes at the church which has drawn some people to the church and some back to the church. There is much more to do. We still only have a membership of 58, but we are reaching out into the community now. I am also a member of the Church Innovation, Vitality, and Resourcing Committee for the Presbytery of New Covenant. I served as moderator of the Evangelism and Church Growth Committee last year which was rolled into this committee.
I was drawn to this program in the hope of learning more about ways of revitalizing churches. I hope that through this program, I may learn from the experience of others and share what has or hasn’t worked for my church, understanding that what works at one time or place may not work in another time or place.
