Catholicity

This strikes me as most relevant to the catholicity of the church.

In the Church history sequence, we spend the entire first semester and half of the second semester reading sources from  parts of the world other than North America and consider how we are all historically conditioned by our time and place. By God's grace, this contributes to a posture of humility in our theological and pastoral claims.

In the DMin course Dr. McCaw and I are teaching, we spent time learning about Christian responses to the fall of the Roman Empire, the crises of 16th century Europe, and the rise of fascism in Europe and apartheid in South Africa.
