I see the mission lifted up every time we revise or approve new degree programs, approve new courses, and revise how we fulfill our callings in community in an effort to follow Jesus more closely.
Decades ago we made the decision to serve the church and engage the changing needs of church and world by embracing distance theological education. Given that the vast majority of our seminarians are distance students, this was clearly a helpful move for the church and for our community.
The UD and UDTS mission both emphasize the Christian calling to love God with heart, soul, mind, and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves. This we do by God's grace.
