Course pages can be organized in any way that feels clear and concise for student learning. If you prefer topical organization to weekly, here are some recommended layouts. 


Lectures-Documents-Engagement-Assignments
  • Use one section for posting all lecture materials together in chronological order
  • Use one section for posting all course documents or readings
  • Use one section for posting all engagement such as forums in chronological order
  • Use one section for posting all submitable assignments
  • For this type of course organization, posting clear deadlines in multiple places becomes especially important 


Weekly Instructions-Specific Assignment Types
  • Using a mixed approach may feel appropriate to use sections for weekly instructions using Text and Media Area and sections with Forums, Assignments, and other engagements
