COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course surveys the contents of the New Testament and provides as well an introduction to scholarly and pastoral approaches to its interpretation. The first and foremost objective is for students to read the New Testament itself, and then to expand their knowledge of its historical, social, and theological contexts.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
-Students will be able to describe some of the different kinds of literature in the NT.
-Students will be able to explain some basics of the socio-historical context of the NT.
-Students will be able to make connections between the New Testament texts and topics in contemporary life and faith communities.
