Adventures in Nursing - UD for Kids
Do you think you might have a future in nursing or medicine? Find out by spending afternoons on campus with University of Dubuque nurses and nursing professors! Be involved in hands-on experiences and get a glimpse into basic skills needed in pediatric, emergency, and operating room nursing. Discover how to take vital signs, give injections, and manage emergency situations. Explore tracheostomy and IV simulation equipment. Tour a local hospital and see medical professionals “in action.” All of this, and more, await you in this exciting class!
Note: This class is only for students who have completed grades 5, 6, or 7. Because class size is capped at 8 students, this class will be offered June 24-28 and July 8-12. The content of each week will be identical, so students can choose to attend either week.
